Parlee winds up a successful 2009

Phil Zajicek US Climber of the Year!

Ben Kersten winner of Cronulla Crit!

We take this opportunity to thank the riders individually and collectively for their outstanding results on two continents and for being thoroughly professional ambassadors for our products.

PARLEE and EDGE Composites remain the riders’ choice!

Parlee Z1 ‘Classic’ look

Starting with a “stock” Z1 frame featuring woven downtube and chaintays we had it finished with a candy red tinted clear, silver outline decals and a silver King headset.

Our aim was to utilise current alloy componentry, with a few tweeks, to create a throughly modern classic build.

We selected Campagnolo’s new Athena 11 speed groupo with the optional alloy cranks, complimented with polished alloy brake levers. We added Deda alloy post, stem and bars finishing with silver Fizik saddle and tape and a chrome cable kit.

Continuing the classic theme, we used 32 hole Record hubs and DT rims and spokes. Ti King cages and Ti coloured POP skewers round out the theme.

The end result is a stunningly smooth ride, comfortable and capable on any ride.

Parlee Z5

The next iteration of Bob Parlee’s philosophy of engineering carbon frames to deliver performance, comfort and lightweight – without comprise.

How light? Frame weights from 775 grams with the traditional Parlee lifetime warranty to the purchaser.

The feedback from the Interbike ride days on the new frame was “astonishing”.

At Eurobike, Parlee Cycles also announced a fresh new graphics package across the range – the first significant revision in 10 years. You can choose with the classic look continuing to be available to order, across the range.

Parlee Z3

The bike at left is a recent build for Robert Crowe of Ridewiser which features an XL tubeset and Edge 2.0 fork with custom graphics featuring white bands and red logos. The Shimano 7900 Groupset is matched with Edge Composites ‘68 tubular race wheels and 45 Clinchers for training and the bike is finished off with Emporelli cages, POP Ti Skewers, Deda bar and post, Thomson stem, Fizik Arione saddle and matching bar tape.

Stiff, comfortable and ready to win at 7.05kg including pedals.

Initial feedback is “corners comfortably at 70kph…” and “in the sprint… a rocketship!!”

Another Z3 client, Ian, recently wrote that the bike makes you want to always ride in the big ring.

We can tailor a Z3 to your specific desires and budget.

Parlee TT – at 70.3 Worlds and home

Having given the Stock TT frameset its first Australian Tri hitout at Noosa, Parlee supported Queensland triathlete Jarrod Owen went on to finish 2nd in the 25-29 Age Group at the 70.3 World’s in Florida.

In doing so he posted the 20th fastest bike leg outright.

With 5 “sizes” with each offering two headtube height options there is a frame to deliver every competitor the scope to excell.

Frame weights are in the 1100 to 1250gm range and priced from only $5,900 the Parlee TT offers exceptional, affordable, performance.

There is always the option of a complete custom frame build and as usual a wide range of “custom” finishes are also available on both framesets.

Parlee Z1 Custom

With our brief being to deliver something special as a surprise this “nude” framest with etched logos features a Campagnolo Super record groupset set with the main components matted back to match the frame and the Edge Composites 1.25 rims also feature black “keyline decals. it is finshed off with Emporelli cages and black POP Skewers.

Clearly, a large frame for a tall rider, the complete bike as shown weighs 6.5kg with pedals.

The smile on the owner’s face says mission accomplished!

Parlee Z4

This build features a custom “solid” single colour paint scheme with constrasting blue saddle and bartape.

The groupset is Campagnolo Record and the bike features a complete EDGE Composites’ cockpit of stem, 44cm bars and the latest setback seatpost which features a simple single bolt assembly and adjustment capability.

The wheels are Edge Composites’ 1.25 tubulars with a custom decal set and Extralite hubs. Total wheelset weight is 806gm.

The build is finishd with blue POP skewers, Emporelli cages and Conti GP400s tubs.

The St Ali genie seems to approve.

As usual a wide range of “custom” finishes are also available.

Parlee Z4 – the Wild One!

This build was undertaken to create an impact in the bunch while also demonstrating the quality of finish we can offer on our frames.

Now you can achieve exceptional looks and performance.

The groupset is Campagnolo Record with Clavicula Cranks and the bike features an AX lightness saddle and post with 3T Pro bars and stem and the “odd” touch of colour!

The wheels are EDGE Composites’ 1.65 tubulars with a custom decal set and DT hubs.

Pink POP skewers, Emporelli cages and Conti GP400s tubs round out the look.

The comment at the Tour of Bright was highly complimentary.

While pink and purple butterflies may or may not be you we can deliver your request.

The popular Z4 framesets are now available from A$4,900 and you can take the build where you want to take it
